NUS Awards for Study Abroad (NASA)

  • All students applying for exchange will have an option to apply for NASA awards.
  • Application is done via "OPAS" (Overseas Programme Application System) administrated by IRO. The process for exchange university application will include an option for application for NASA Award.
  • Results of the award will be made known only prior to the semester of study (i.e. students going out on semester 2 will only know the results in December of the preceding year.

Business School Donated Awards

Note:

  • These awards are for NUS Business School students only (includes students in the Double Degree Programme).
  • Students are only allowed to hold ONE award for exchange studies regardless of awarding body (i.e. internal or external to NUS). Students can/should still apply for NASA awards, but if awarded, the lower valued award will be rescinded.
  • Recipients of scholarships, bursaries and other awards not intended to for exchange studies CAN concurrently hold NASA or/Business School awards subject to the approval of the issuing organisation.
  • Students are required to declare to the scholarship awarding organisation and NUS Business School if they have been awarded with the 2nd scholarship/award.
  • All recipients may be required to attend an award ceremony/write appreciation letters/meet with the donors as required.

Fung Scholarship 
(invited only)

Students will be selected based on good academic results and demonstrated leadership appointments.
$5,000 Selected students will be invited to submit their applications via the student portal. Beginning of SEP semester i.e. August/January
SCCCF Business Scholarship (invited only)
Students allocated to study in top universities in China will be considered; criteria includes good academic results and interest in Chinese business.
$4,000 Shortlisted students will be selected via an interview panel in July/August. Beginning of SEP semester i.e. August/January
NUSBSA Student Experience Award
Students will be selected primarily based on financial need.
At least $1,800 Students need to apply for financial aid via the Office of Admissions - Financial Aid during the annual application window for all aid
(i.e. generic application).

Shortlisted students will be selected via an interview panel in July/August.
Beginning of SEP semester i.e. August/January
Tahir Student Exchange Award
Indonesian students will be selected based on financial need.
$6,000 Students need to apply for financial aid via the Office of Admissions - Financial Aid during the annual application window for all aid 
(i.e. generic application).

Beginning of SEP semester i.e. August/January
NHH Award
Students going to Norwegian School of Economics will be shortlisted for the award.
$2,500 Selected students will be informed of the award in June (for sem 1) and in November (for sem 2) Beginning of SEP semester i.e. August/January

Others

All students are encouraged to apply for the various scholarships, awards, grants and loans available for exchange studies.

Other sources include the SEP Loan Fund administered by the Registrar's Office, the DUO awards, the NUS-UBC Lee Foundation Award and those administered by the IRO i.e. Hungarian Scholarship and Temasek Foundation (TFLearn).

Interested applicants to take note of the following:

  • In general, current recipients of scholarships cannot be concurrently holding a bursary. To seek exemption, please refer to (c) below.
  • We recognize that deserving students should be duly rewarded. Students can apply and be offered complementary financial packages (i.e. student exchange package, residential housing support) concurrently with scholarships/awards/bursaries. However, in the spirit of fairness and equity, multiple or duplicate scholarships, awards or bursaries based on identical or similar purpose are not permissible.
  • Applicants who are current recipients of any award, bursary or scholarship have to check with the scholarship, award or bursary committee / administrators to obtain consent that you can hold another concurrent scholarship, award or bursary.
